We had wake surfing lessons and our party was made up of beginners and experienced surfers. Everyone had a great time and felt like they got attention and the support they needed to improve and enjoy themselves.
The boat was clean, spacious, and state of the art. There were 10 of us and we were comfortable and could move around easily.

But Cole, Mitch, and Matt were incredibly professional, friendly, and welcoming—they made me feel at ease right away. Mitch was a fantastic coach—super encouraging and clearly knows what he’s doing. I attribute a lot of my positive experience to his guidance. Cole was driving while I was in the water, but he was still tuned into my progress and gave me some great tips too, which I really appreciated!

Our experience was professional from beginning to end. The driver and spotter We’re tied up at the dock when we arrived. Cam and Chase Introduced themselves from the get go, and were very personable and friendly.
Cam is a skillful driver and very knowledgeable instructor. His fun attitude combined with his technical knowledge make him an excellent coach.
Chase clearly loves surfing and does an excellent job hyping the crew with technical talk that is highly relatable and natural so that it is easy to remember and execute.
These guys made a great team and relayed stories and info about all sorts of related activities adding to the overall experience at a different level.
The equipement and boat they brought was top quality. They had multiple board shapes and sizes. I brought my own and I was glad I did because the wave was unbelievable and very different from my malibu wakesetter.
We were in a super air 23 which was a tonne of space and a huge wave. 8 50 yr old men fit comfortably.
I have hired muskoka wake now for 10 years and the one really consistent thing that shows up with all my experiences is the level of commitment to fun in the sport, along with safe practice and quality equipment.
We have wakeboarded and flyboarded in multiple locations In muskoka, including our own doc. Year after year the consistency of the message and the quality of delivery is still excellent.

Captain Jack went above and beyond especially with the children who haven’t stopped talking about him… the connection and confidence they had in and with him made it easy for them to trust him, to get out of their comfort zone and to progress their skills.

In my opinion Muskoka Wake is the easiest way to upgrade your Muskoka holiday from great to Epic. We look forward to our next experience with Muskoka Wake.

Certified Instruction

Life jackets, impact vests, helmets, and required safety gear are included for every eFoil lesson and demo.
No Boat Required
E-foiling is fully electric and self-powered, so there is no boat, no wake, and no loud engine needed.
Multiple Locations
E-Foil lessons and demos are available at selected Muskoka locations, including Jasper Park and Windsor Park.
FAQ
Do I need experience to try e-foiling?
No. You do not need previous e-foiling, wakeboarding, wakesurfing, or watersport experience to try an eFoil lesson. Muskoka Wake instructors start with the basics, including throttle control, balance, body position, and how to safely lift above the water.
E-foiling is beginner-friendly when taught step by step with the right equipment and coaching.
How long does it take to learn?
Many first-time riders start gliding on the board during their first session. Some riders may begin lifting above the water within 20–30 minutes, while others may need more time to feel comfortable.
The goal of the first eFoil lesson is to help you understand board control, throttle use, balance, and safe riding before progressing higher above the water.
What is an eFoil?
An eFoil, or electric hydrofoil board, is a battery-powered board with a hydrofoil underneath. As the board gains speed, the foil lifts the board above the surface of the water, creating a smooth, quiet, flying feeling.
Unlike wakeboarding or wakesurfing, e-foiling does not need a boat or wake. The board is self-powered by an electric motor.
What's the difference between a Demo, Lesson, and Rental?
An eFoil demo is a shorter guided experience at one of our selected locations. It is a good choice if you want to try e-foiling for the first time.
A private eFoil lesson is a longer coached session focused on learning, confidence, and progression. It is best for riders who want more instruction and support.
An eFoil rental is best for riders who are already comfortable and want more time using the board independently. Rental availability may depend on experience, location, and conditions.
Do you provide the eFoil board and safety gear?
Yes. Muskoka Wake provides the eFoil board and required safety gear for lessons and demos. This includes life jackets, impact vests, helmets, and the equipment needed for your session.
Riders do not need to bring their own eFoil board.
How fast does the e-foil go?
E-Foil boards can reach high speeds, but beginner lessons focus on safe, controlled riding rather than maximum speed. Most new riders start slowly while learning throttle control, balance, turning, and how to lift safely above the water.
Your instructor will guide the speed based on your comfort level, ability, and water conditions.
Is there a weight limit?
There may be weight and equipment considerations for eFoil sessions. Please contact Muskoka Wake before booking if you are unsure whether the board and setup are right for you.
The team can help confirm the safest and most comfortable option based on the rider and session type.
What should I wear?
Comfortable swimwear. We provide wetsuits, life jackets, and helmets for every rider.
What if it rains?
Sessions run in light rain. If conditions are unsafe, we’ll contact you by 7:30 AM on the morning of your session. No charge if Muskoka Wake cancels due to weather.
